Now I realize that this post is probably going to make me seem like a really big loser, but I'm watching VH1's 40 Most Awesomely Bad Metal Songs. Most of the songs are pretty bad, but I started getting a little annoyed when I saw Ace Frehley's Rock Soldiers at #34, but I saw red [nice warrant reference...] when Dio's "Last in Line" was #33. Whattheholyfuck???? Jesus, man. I can think of 500 other metal songs that are way worse than Last in Line. Fuck VH1! It's DIO!!!!! Kiss my butt, VH1. Get a clue. Your station is now the suck.

But then I'm also the person who actually knows that Mark Slaughter (from the band Slaughter) was one of the singers in the Vinnie Vincent Invasion. Yep, I'm cool.

Yesterday was such an all around great day. It was the day before Thanksgiving, which meant that there was hardly anyone in the office. Empty office = late morning arrival and casual clothes (jeans). There was also a 2 hour lunch involved with a really good friend, talking shit and having a good time. Then my boyfriend sent me some flowers in the office. And to top it all off, I left at 3. Best day ever.

And the when I got home, I got proposed to. Yes, we're officially engaged and are getting married.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

There's a pumpkin on my porch that is left over from the four pumpkins I had, but never carved for Halloween.

He's a cute little guy who I've been enjoying when I get home. He makes me smile when I walk up the porch.

But when I got to the door and looked back at my little fall friend, I saw that someone or something else had been enjoying him too...

My porch has turned into an all you can eat buffet.

Last Saturday was the best fall day that we've had all year. It was great. Literally, a perfect fall day. We went to breakfast and then we went to the zoo. We've been meaning to go all summer, but never had the chance, or were too hung over. It was great. We ended the afternoon with cheese steaks and beer at Jimmy Macs. Good times. We did something else too, that I'm not allowed to talk about yet. :)

We've also joined the local gym. I haven't actually gone yet. I think I have gymophobia. This evening, I have my fitness goal appointment. They are going to weigh and measure me and tell me what I need to do to lose this extra 30 pounds I've been carrying around. No more cheese steaks for me. :(
