I'm glad that I don't have that many unmarried close friends left. Why? Because I'm tired of going to BB&B and getting the registry printout and wondering around with a vacant expression on my face and bumping into other people who also waited until their lunchhour on the Friday before the Saturday Bridal Shower.

At least I found something in my price range fairly quickly. Does anyone actully find bridal showers fun? I'm sure it's fun for the bride, because getting presents totally rocks, but showers have those really lame games, no booze and no guys. It's all sober women. Yaaarrrrggghhhhh!!!!! How is that fun? I don't mind celebrating with my friends and family and all that good shit, but I hate the lame stuff that goes along with it. I was trying to convey this to my mother a few weeks ago, when there was another shower to go to, and she said something along the lines of, "Krissie, you're going to have to learn to get along in social situations without alcohol." Oooooo-k.

And of course, if I ever get engaged, my opinions about all this wedding stuff will change, I'll become one of those bridal-clone sell outs, only thinking of what color napkin will bring out the color of my main course the best...
