Good news: my sister finally found a job in Rochester. So she'll be able to move here.

Bad news: she'll probably be staying here until she finds a place.

I really really have to GTHOOHS. (get the hell out of here soon) It's just a little bit too much. I don't know what makes it different with having my sister here, but it is, and I am hating life right now. I'm an awful person and am probably going to hell. Whatever, I'll be driving the bus. Anyone need a ride?

I've been thinking it's time for me to get the hell out of here, so I spend my days looking at houses online. This one is my favorite so far. the area's a new one for me, but the nice thing about Rochester is that I can pretty much live anywhere and not have to drive to far to get anywhere...

Who's in a pissy mood today? Not just a pissy mood, but a snap at everyone/avoid people like the plague/give the hairy eyeball to strangers/shut my office door and sulk kind of mood. This will make me extremely popular around the office. Why the shitty mood? I've been thinking about this. And the reasons are many-folded...

1. It's been 4 months that I've been living at the parents' house and there is NO END IN SIGHT.


2. My job sucks right now. Boring. Boring. Boring.


3. I looked at the calendar and I think there might be some "hormonal issues" going on, according to the date.


4. I haven't had any form of nicotine in about a week.

I'm gonna go with the last two. I'll be holed up in my office for the next week or so, ordering take out from my new favorite lunch spot, Desert Moon Cafe.

I meant to post an Easter-related story yesterday, but I was busy recovering from consuming my weight in Easter food all weekend long.

My best friend in junior high and I were hanging out the day before Easter in 1986 or 87. We were at her house, sitting out back on the deck, enjoying the spring day, and trying to decide what to listen to. We decided to go with Stryper "To Hell With the Devil" because Easter was the next day and we felt that it was more appropriate and respectful to listen to a "religious" band. Yes, we seriously thought that. That's my Easter story.

Well, I've had it. The first annual review. Good news is that I didn't get my ass canned. Good times.

Highlights of the meeting include being told that I have "a positive attitude and a pleasant demeanor." I am "enthusiastic" and "willing to accept new projects." I am also "a valued member of the graphics team." Good times. Lowlights include being told that my project management skills need some work. What are you going to do? No one's perfect, right? And she dodges unemployment once more...

We just got our power back!! I woke up this morning and everything was covered in ice. Yes, it's April. But we're still getting ice storms. Why did I move back here? I called in to work since I couldn't shower/blow dry my hair. Yes, I am that vain. Normally, I'm all into having an unexpected day off, but when I'm stuck at home with nothing to do with the whole family, I'm not into that. Not good times. I'm off to shower and defunkify.
