In my never ending search of different ways to meet new people, I stumbled across a group called R.A.T.S. (long form - rochester area 20-somethings) Being on the high end of 20-something, I'm not sure if it's for me or not. The group was at the East End Fest a couple of weeks ago, and I was going to go and meet them then, but by the time 10 pm rolled around, I was pretty well toasted, drinking LaBatts like there was no tomorrow, and having too good of a time. They are having an event at some book store this week. You show up, the store staff introduces everyone, and you bring a good book that you've read over the summer as a conversation starter.

I'm a little leary of these types of events, it seems to attract the uber-intellectual group who seems to go out of their way to find the most obscure, wordy boring book ever and then talk about how inspiring it was. [yawn] The book I'd bring would be The Dirt by Motley Crue. I can just see everyone's face now as I proudly hold up my hardcover book, and repeat the burrito story. Should make quite a good impression...
