Waiting for a train after you've snuck out of work early is such a drag...

If you look closely, you'll see that Black Flag by King's X was playing on Sirius as I took the picture with my camera phone.

Yep, it's the first week of 2006. I'm back from my lengthy holiday vacation and now I'm here at the offices.

This is kind of how I feel about that:

With my week off of work, I saw the following movies: King Kong, Narnia, Crash and a few others that I can't remember. I'd give reviews on them, but to be honest, who really gives a shit what I think about movies? I wasn't really looking forward to seeing either one of those. They were good, but I have no desire to see them again. I am looking forward to seeing Hostel, hopefully that will be a good slash 'em up movie. It makes me feel sort of guilty because I know my husband really doesn't like those uber-gorey, mindless violence movies. But that's where that whole compromise thing benefits me... ;)

What else went down that holiday week? Lots of eating. Lots of sleeping. We drove down to Ithaca to see my dad and to test out my new Sirius radio. (kicks wicked ass) While we were there, we went to the Museum of the Earth.

This guy used to roam around in my old backyard...

And this is my foot compared to a dinosaur's. Mine is the one wearing the sneaker...

New Year's eve was lots of fun. We played Lord of the Rings Monopoly while listening to the new wave station on Sirius. There was lots of food and lots of Cosmos and lots of beer involved. Good times. The next day, not so much.
