OMG! I've been invaded by the evil dog-shark!!!

At the beginning of October, we signed a contract and paid a deposit to get our house painted. Here is it, almost the end of October and all we have is a half-caulked, scraped and sort of primed house. It's awful looking. This is not the contractor's fault, the weather was 80 degrees and sunny the day we handed over the check. The next day it started raining. And it has continued to rain almost every day since, with no end in sight. :( Maybe it will clear up? Or maybe we'll have "teh ugly house" until the spring.

Freecycle! I just signed up to my local freecycle group. And this weekend, I gave away one of my husband’s bikes. (with his blessing, of course). Everytime I say “freecycle” in my head, I hear “Free” by Stryper. (and screw all of the Stryper-haters… that song is catchy as hell… and To Hell With the Devil is their best album) When the guy came to pick up the bike, he had a Bush04 sticker on his car. Oi. I knew I should’ve asked for their voting records…
