Holy freaking crap, I am so bored here at the job today. Being bored makes me reminisce. I really miss my old job, where when it was slow on a Friday afternoon, we'd take off to our favorite local margarita bar and drink our faces off. Man, those were some good times...

I was also thinking about when I went on tour with Duran Duran, back in '86...

Yeah, I know, I look pretty mature for a 13 year old. But that's what nights of drinking and smoking and doing coke will do to you.

This weekend was our first official camping trip. After a couple of rained out weekends, we finally got a great day. One perfect day with no clouds and blue sky. We went to Hamlin State Park and got a great site. Built a fire. Cooked stuff in foil. And drank some beers. Good times.

Then sometime in the middle of the night, it started raining. And raining. And did not stop raining. My plans for an elaborate camping breakfast with more stuff cooked in foil and percolated coffee were thwarted. We packed up our new soaked muddy tent and other camping supplies, cleaned up camp and went home. Where my husband made great percolated coffee on the stove.

Here are some photo highlights...

This is our new tent. It's a Coleman and kept us nice and dry during the monsoon. The little poking out part is the pet den. It was great. Both the dogs slept in there for most of the night.

And here are the dogs, all happy and blurry-looking in their camping den.

Look who was hanging out outside the Burger King drive-thru window. Looking for fries, maybe? Or maybe hoping someone will offer her a Whopper w/ cheese? I don't blame her, I could eat one of those everyday. Good stuff.

Here's the best Burger King picture I have...

OMG! Look at the monster mutant zucchini!!! We were scared that if we ate it, it would eat us back... So we left it for the squirrels.

They ate all the other ones anyway. Damn you squirrels!!!

Today was an interesting day, for no other reason that I got to see what the INSIDES OF MY HEAD look like. Yes, today I got my first MRI. Getting older is so much fun. So far it's all been weight gain, MRI's and root canals. Good times. Can't wait for my first mammogram...

Everything is A O K in my head. No tumors, strokes or aneurysms. Two weeks ago, I also had 17 vials of blood taken to test for apparently everything. Stuff is A O K there too. Whew.

Final diagnosis? Migraines. But with no pain. I'm totally ok with that. I did get to walk away from the doctor's office with a sleeping pill prescription and the scans of my brain. You can bet your butt that I will be posting pictures of my brain in the future. I smell a redesign in krisobi.com's future...

And how do I celebrate my relievedness? With Slim Jims, chips and dip. And the season premiere of House. \m/

Wow, this guy is brilliant! I want to learn each one. :)
Saturday we went to the Buffalo Pug and Small Breed Rescue group's second annual picnic. There were pugs and small dogs everywhere. This is one of the better photos that I took of someone's pug.

My dogs had a great time sniffing butts and running wild in the park. This picture is Sadie running like a batouttahell away from us. See that white spot in the distance? Yeah, that's her...

And just so Phoebe doesn't feel left out of the photo posting... here's one of her looking at the camera.

As you can probably tell from the picture below the wild squash taking over the backyard one, last week we went to the Motley Crue show at Darien Lake.

Here's my short review: \m/ OMFG! \m/

Here's the longer review: They played so much older material, I was freaking out. Seriously, that's what a rock show should be. And I am not afraid to admit that I still love Motley Crue as much as I did back in the day.

One of the funniest moments of the night was when my brother and I saw this guy wearing an original Tora Tora shirt. We started laughing at him for being a hair metal dork, and then realized we were just as guilty as him, because we knew who Tora Tora was...

The day after the show, there was a review in the local paper from someone called Jeff Spevak. Someone who is clearly not a fan of the Crue and totally doesn't get it. Someone who says, "These guys ought to be picking up trash along the highway. Instead, they're getting TV shows, book deals and the opportunity to encourage middle-aged women to remove their shirts. Hey, that might be your mom at the next show." hur hur hur... this guy is funny! What a clever writer! His review totally sucked. I don't know why I care, because I read his other reviews and he referred to the Coldplay show as, "perhaps the finest hour or three of rock this summer" Brwaaa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!!! Yeah, Coldplay really rocks... hahahaha... man, now that's funny. This reviewer is one of those guys that forgets that you're supposed to have a good time at a rock show, and sometimes it's fun to not take yourself or the music you listen to so seriously.

Then I read his bio: His Top 10 albums of all time include 17 by Bob Dylan. He likes dogs, the Cleveland Indians and wine. His favorite books are Theodore Dreiser's An American Tragedy, Ernest Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises and Hunter S. Thompson's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. He likes to eat Chilean sea bass.

Oh. He's one of those guys...

The Buffalo paper had a better review.

Ok, here's are some videos I took with the Nokia 6600:

What's funny about theseis the girl in front of me. She was REALLY getting into the show. It was too cute. :)

The squash I planted early this summer is trying to take over the yard. I think it's heading towards the house. It's wild mutant squash!!! LOOK OUT!!!

Take me to your heart
Feel me in your bones
Just one more night
And I’m comin’ off this
Long & winding road
