Ok, I am now an official homeowner with taxes and water bills to pay. Good times. This weekend was very busy with house things and Christmas stuff. I spent a lot of very satisfying hours ripping ugly old crappy shit out of the new house and putting it to the curb. I tore shit down, kicked shit around and generally took out a lot of stress on some innocent ugly ass wallpaper.

The previous owners, while doing great things like putting in new windows and a new furnace and remodeling the kitchen, lived at level of cleanliness that is a bit below my standard of living. They were SLOBS. Wicked slobs. Dust, grime, mildew, etc. You name it, it's there. I really think the house is relieved to have me move in. There is so much possibility there, it's incredible. If God were to design a house just for me, I think this one would be it. Or pretty darn close to it.

We played "What's Under the Bathroom Floor?" and "What's Behind This Wall?" Lots of fun.

Then there was the company Christmas party, where I had too much wine and might have said some inappropriate things to people in positions of power. But what fun would an office holiday party be if I wasn't worried about losing my job on Monday?

And then I received an early christmas present today from my boyfriend, who not only volunteered to clean and waterproof my creepy ass Amityville Horror-style basement, but also got me a ten gig iPod. I named it iPodobi, and instead of going back to the house and making it liveable, I've been downloading songs. Good times all around baby.

Here's a photo of the new place. It's a couple of months old. When you look at it, try to envision 16 inches of snow around it from the Nor'easter we got today.
